Millersville Teen Charged With Murder In Glen Burnie Shooting

A Glen Burnie man was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Hideaway Loop. Police have charged a Millersville 18-year-old with murder.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Millersville 18-year-old was charged with murder Thursday in the shooting death of a Glen Burnie man. The victim died from a gunshot wound after he was shot Wednesday at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Hideaway Loop, officials said.

Anne Arundel County Police received a report of a shooting about 12:40 p.m. Officers found Jordan Adam Marroquin-Pereira, 21, of Glen Burnie, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Lifesaving efforts could not revive Marroquin-Pereira, who was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Anne Arundel County Police identified Paul Pedro Rodriguez of Millersville as a suspect in the shooting. Rodriguez was taken into custody Thursday morning without incident, and charged with first- and second-degree murder.

Detectives said Marroquin-Pereira was targeted, and there is no known ongoing threat to the community.
